There is so much information on the internet about how to train your dog, what behaviours are appropriate and how to get rid of behaviours you don’t like – while some of the information is laced with myth and are just old wives tales, there are many different approaches to training that will work.  However, how do you tell the good advice from the questionable?  Do you listen to your mum’s advice, or the dog owner on the beach, the vet or the online behaviorist?

Our “Behavioural Consultations’ can help give you a bit of direction and certainty that you are on the right track.  Providing an education on your dogs behaviour and what he needs to be a calm and balanced dog. We will also teach you techniques that will work for your personality and your dogs behaviours, so that you can start to show leadership so they trust you to meet their needs and provide safety & security.  Owner & trainer communication is an important part of our consults, as much of the success is dependent on how confident the owners feels when working with their dog, we tailor our consults as much as we can to each family.

Pricing: $200 for a 2 hour session, $70 per hour after first 2 hours.

Follow-up sessions at a later date, $80 per hour.

So you and your dog have some areas you need to improve on, owning a dog is always about learning and working towards being a better team.  Of course it isn’t going to happen over night and sometimes it is nice to have somewhere to go and practice around other like-minded owners and the support of a trainer.

Our ‘Dogs Learning Together’ classes are designed to give you a safe place to work with your dog’s behaviours while having the guidance of our trainer and the support from other owners also working towards the same goal.

In the class you will be able to work towards having a well-mannered & calm dog in a variety of different situations.  The classes rotate around different public locations and help you with leash manners, polite & respectful behaviour around other dogs, basic obedience in a variety of different environments and distractions – everything practiced is working towards the goal of having a dog that is well-mannered, calm and looks to their owner for safety and security in the human world they live in.

Pricing: $200 for a 5 week block course.

We understand that some states of mind and behaviours in your dog can be pretty in-ground and you teaching your dog how to get into a better state of mind and learn appropriate behaviours can be a struggle especially while you are learning yourself.

Our ‘Walk & Train’ session can help make the learning process easier for you both.  We will take your dog out to work on their state of mind and behaviours in areas they are struggling, teaching them how we would like them to behave.  This then helps you because your dog will understand how he should behave, allowing you to focus on bringing out that state of mind and good behaviour.

We also use this service for dogs who need to relearn appropriate behaviours around other dogs and people. The one-on-one training allows us to teach them what behaviours are and aren’t appropriate in a safe and controlled way without the owners influence.

This service is also used for dogs who are wanting to join our walking service, but need some one-on-one training to work on some of their behaviour before they are able to join the pack.

Pricing: $125 per session, concession rates are available. Include pick-up & drop-off (area dependent).
